The Program - Playa Nosara, Guanacaste

Surfing

With its smooth sand beaches, Playa Guiones is ideal for different levels. The waves break left and right with multiple peaks allowing for great surfing at any time during the year. However, November through May will offer you the best chance of finding excellent conditions.

Beginners

Surf lessons are provided twice a day in slow, calm waves. You will be taught: water safety, paddling techniques, catching waves, wave selection, and surfing etiquette. Most importantly, you will experience the feeling of riding along a wave that's powered purely by nature.

Intermediates and Advance Surfers

Surfing Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada could turn into a fabulous surfing experience. During our dry season, the North Pacific has sensational offshore winds, which produce clean and perfect peeks.

We can take you to several more challenging surf breaks. Ostional and Marbella are epic spots to find more challenging waves. From beach to reef breaks, there are a variety of waves that will send you home with a big smile!

Yoga

A spacious, open-air room near The Healing Centre is dedicated for yoga and meditation in the Harmony hotel. Wide varieties of classes are offer.

Gentle Flow

Awaken the body with breath and movement. A good choice for beginners; all levels welcome.

Power Flow

This fun, flowing class will bring you to a sweaty bliss. Paced for intermediate and advanced students; all levels welcome.

Restorative Yoga

This slower, more meditative class puts you in touch with yourself and compliments more active styles of yoga. All levels welcome.

Surfer’s Tune - Up

Experience a class of yoga designed specifically for your surfing muscles. Learn to take excellent care of your body so that you can better hit the surf.

Power Hikes

Del Mar believes in keeping your legs strong. We schedule hikes to mountains with spectacular views. It is a great way to start or finish your day!

Nosara Biological Reserve Nature Hike

Included in the package you will take a 2-hour hike to the Nosara Biological Reserve. The private nature-reserve is situated along the Nosara River and is about the size of about 35 ha or 90 acres. A variety of plant species and mangroves will be seen. Wildlife, such as monkeys, coatis, raccoons, armadillos, snakes, anteaters, crabs, and reptiles may be observed. It is a great work out and an opportunity to learn about Costa Rica’s flora and fauna.

Healing Center

Massage

Enjoy tremendous relaxation and relief from stress with a Champissage Indian Head Massage. Perfect for surfers, it focuses on the head, neck, face, shoulders, and upper arms.

Honey Pat Facial

This beneficial treatment is appropriate for all skin types. It helps to soften the skin by moisturizing, hydrating, and tightening the pores. Natural ingredients such as honey, hibiscus, coconut, jasmine, lavender and chamomile as used.

Pedicure

Feet are treated to a papaya masque, footbath soak, exfoliation, trim, shape, and cuticle care. Coconut oil foot and calf massage. We use eco-friendly, water-based nail polish.

Canopy Tour

* Miss Sky is the longest Canopy Tour in the world. It makes a stop at the largest waterfall in the region, with a network of river pools and endless forest trails to observe nature and listen to the chorus of howler monkeys.
