I am grateful to be Costa Rican, and I always thankful for being given the chance to share such an amazing life full of beautiful colors, nature and epic waves.
Things happen for a reason and through Del Mar surf camp myself and my friends are able to make dreams come true.
My life is filled with love and unforgettable moments that give me the desire to introduce my country to more chicas and enjoy every second of my life as if it is the last.

I feel truly blessed for my country and all the natural beauty it has to offer.
I’m also grateful to have surfing, yoga and the nature here; it has benefited
both my body and mind in a very positive way. Working for Del Mar has truly
changed my life; I have a new perspective on life, more confidence in myself
and new found energy. As surf camp assistant, my job is to guide you through
the program, show you the area and Costa Rica’s culture and history.

Surfing is my life style. It’s my way to escape the world and become one with nature, an active
form of meditation for adventurous people. It’s good for the body, mind and soul. Once a surfer,
always a surfer…no quitters!!!!
Ismael - Surf Coordinator
The newest addition to the Del mar family is Ismael… our new surf coordinator. He is from Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean coast and has 20 years of surfing experience. He loves sharing his passion and knowledge for the ocean, environment and the rich culture that Costa Rica has to offer.
Patient and informative, with a great understanding of the ocean…He’s also an excellent surfer and a very skillful instructor, whose love of the sport and desire to share it with others can only be described as infectious…in the water with him you immediately feel safe, confident and totally surf stoked!... Always ready to ride waves and have fun. Sharing his energy is certain to be long lasting EXPERIENCE.
Shilka - Surf Coordinator and Instructor
I found Surfing 5 years ago and I can say "It is one of the most awesome
things I have in life". Now it is my passion! I am always in contact with
nature through surfing... it helped me realize who I was and to appreciate
a nice sunset!
I love being a surfing coach because I know I am transmitting something
positive to others.
Rosemarie
Rosemarie is an international Holistic Health practitioner with over 20 years of experience and a Yogini since 1988.
Her travels takes her to places like Hawaii, California, Mexico and Argentina. Where she studied with the best teachers available. Finally established in Costa Rica where she runs Vida Asana Retreat Center with her family.

Iinspire people with my excitement and passion for life. Currently graduated from Rhodes Wellness college in Vancouver as a certified holistic counselor and life coach. Also I am a Yoga instructor. I started coming to Costa Rica many years ago, trying to escape the cold Canadian winters. my love for the Latin culture and warm water surfing has had me traveling back and forth from central America since 1996. I enjoy challenging my clients to act with faith and courage as they proceed to learn about themselves and pursue their dreams.
Lacy
My work as a Yoga Instructor and a free-spirited Kinesiologist inspired my journey to the Costa Rica in 2006… I am now blessed to call it home. Through yoga, I had the honor of meeting our fearless leader: Maria Del Mar and it was she whom introduced me to the spectacular sport and spirit of surfing.
In my experience, yoga and surfing are perfectly combined adventures; each requiring presence, patience, perseverance and above all, practice!
I am privileged to work with a group of individuals who together, share a common goal: the passion to live a life filled with health, activity and fun!
Del Mar Surf Camp is the ideal opportunity to experience Costa Rica : the beauty of the country and
the rich authenticity of its culture and of its people.
